A Cahya Legawa's Les pèlerins au-dessus des nuages

Yesterday or so I got tagged from a blog, and better said this is not the first time I got tagged via blog. A blogger usually tagged his/her blogger friends using a particular post (mostly containing question(s) which another bloggers who were tagged should give an answer using a new post exactly more or less like the format that has been given or foretold).

Blogger got some advantages using this tagged systems since its bring about possibility of linking to and from other blogs via tags. So it would be possible to enrich incoming links, meanwhile blogger can keep a good relationship with other blogger(s) who loves blog tagging systems.

According to Wikipedia, tags is…

In online computer systems terminology, a tag is a non-hierarchical keyword or term assigned to a piece of information (such as an internet bookmark, digital image, or computer file). This kind of metadata helps describe an item and allows it to be found again by browsing or searching. Tags are generally chosen informally and personally by the item’s creator or by its viewer, depending on the system.

Many blog systems allow authors to add free-form tags to a post, along with (or instead of) placing the post into categories. For example, a post may display that it has been tagged with baseball and tickets. Each of those tags is usually a web link leading to an index page listing all of the posts associated with that tag. The blog may have a sidebar listing all the tags in use on that blog, with each tag leading to an index page. To reclassify a post, an author edits its list of tags. All connections between posts are automatically tracked and updated by the blog software; there is no need to relocate the page within a complex hierarchy of categories.

So basically we can understand if tagged is some kind of inclusion method which give a blogger a “bottom-up” classification for posts. And not about method to joining someone in some short of actions. People were easily got the wrong idea about how is tagging system should be used – and in some good manner this wrong idea become so popular lately, more…, and more popular.

If you have a several questions that would be interesting to answer, why don’t you make a … what was it called…? A matrix database or so…, where everybody can give their answer perceptively. Or if you a blogger, why don’t you make a poll with polldaddy perhaps?

Sometimes tagging isn’t always about convenience or inconvenience thing. Like Facebook Photo Tag, people may laugh when his/her name tagged on some sexy nudity pictures and makes fun of it. Others may react in contradiction.

So if have any concern with bloggers’ code of ethics or bloggers’ code of conduct, do you think blog tagging is violation against both of them?

I myself prefer to give back link via post response, where I write a response for a post using a post and giving link to the responded post within it. Instead of blog/blogger tagging, yes this one I would prefer. Why…?

  • It gives ultimate freedom to give or give not a back link;
  • Fair enough, so only create a response when a blogger fell urge for it by an understandable interest;
  • Avoiding unethical blind/multi tagging which may lead to unwanted spamdexing;
  • etc…?

Well, I love being tagged, but I prefer else

    => for my perception .. people who were tagged should not participate if they dont want to…. like what i did, i tagged those person coz i appreciate them…. but its up to them to joint or not 🙂

    again.. it’s my perception…

      delia,

      Tagged is something fun on blogsphere, people enjoy it so much. So if you enjoy it, I think there would be no problems 😉
      If there is a road in a village it should be addressed for public transportation and so…, but sometimes you fell want to block the road once and use it for playing football or create a village carnival – and thats fun – nothing wrong with that 😀

      So please, don’t trust whatever I wrote easily, since sometimes I don’t get it myself. But at least I got you tagged with backlink there 😆
