Avast blocks Windows Security Update

I just found that avast blocks securty update on my Windows 10 laptop. It didn’t block other update, but the security update included in Avast URL blacklist.

I don’t know why this happening. I want to ask to the forum, but it seems not many has solutions. I am no longer checking the forum as how I used to be in the past. A lot of old (read: experienced) users were no longer using Avast. So, they can’t give much advice.

Contacting Avast support center is just a much of hazel today. I had a good experience for contacting their support years ago while using their free service. But now, even using their paid services, it just too much work.

I can see few solutions on the web or by asking AI assistant like Bing Chat. And I genuinely can guess, a couple of them may work well. I am yet to tray any of it. It doesn’t matter whether the issue is resolved or not, since it doesn’t affect my work so far.

Perhaps when I migrate to Linux on this laptop, this issue shall no longer exists.

I am thinking about ending my Avast subscription this year. Trying other product for other devices in my household, since I am the only one using laptop or gadgets.
