Well, I’d love a cup of black tea when the dawn comes. But a black rain in the afternoon? Hmm…, its a little bit hard to believe. This afternoon, a short heavy rain stroke my village.
The volcanic dust were swept away from the roofs and trees (if you remember my post previously “Jogja Berselimut Debu Merapi” in Bahasa), and made the falling rain became dark brown. Well, I think the air has become a little bit refreshed without dust particles, but it created a new issue – mud everywhere in the village, just like after flood disaster.
I can imagine that our sphere were flooding by abundant amount of mud. But there was nothing much we can do. At last the volcanic dust no longer stayed on the roof after this natural cleansing.
The mud created some sedimentation when rain isn’t strong enough to swept them away from the ground. Maybe after this, we need to clean it manually.
This afternoon Merapi was having a great explosion, I am hoping the rain would stop the volcanic dust from advancing any further.
