A Cahya Legawa's Les pèlerins au-dessus des nuages

The Light Defenders

It may a sad thing when a life left for another journey. But it was a crestfallen fact that life lost, when it was shredded and taken unwillingly.

In Indonesia, I never heard that we had a national-wide suicide prevention system, and we just see is as common occurrences when a life lost of suicide.

We run to stop someone when we see he/she tries to end his/her own life. Talk to him/her, hear his/her voices drowned in sorrow that circling his/her entire life.

We see a human, a mirror of ourselves in each of him and her we ever met.

And we remind ourselves back, – be stronger, be tougher, be more respectful to life.

And we may speak to the deepest of our soul, that we are the light defenders.
